Writing Prompt 12/22/12

Here’s a problem that arose at church today during Christmas decorating and preparation: We usually have a florist make a set of four 8-inch evergreen wreaths that we put around the candles that stand at the altar. They are made with that green foam material, oasis, it’s called, a substance that both gives the wreath its shape and can keep greenery fresh if it is soaked with water.

This problem must appear in your story and be solved to some degree.

Writing Prompt 12/19/12

Write a story of any length in which you include the names of at least five scented candle varieties (e.g. Vanilla-Island, Cranberry-Christmas Fireplace, etc.).

If you find that near the end of your story, the scents have gotten out of whack, that’s ok too — Juniper-Mayan Holocaust, Lavender-Exhaust Pipe.
